Job Summary
This is a position for an embedded software engineer (leaning toward FAE) based in Taiwan, responsible for technical support primarily for customers in China and Taiwan for the Nuvoton Bridge-IC products that is SoC incorporating ARM CPUs. You will work on the bridge-IC platforms that include various interfaces such as USB and DisplayPort, MIPI, as well as image and audio processing functions, and provide technical support for customer product development, evaluation, and mass-production ramp-up through software modifications according to customer requirements and assistance with customer software development.

Main duties (Responsibilities)
FAE duties for customers in Chinese-speaking regions
•Technical support services for customers in Taiwan and China
a.Responding to technical inquiries related to embedded software
b.Analyzing issues, isolating causes, and providing resolution support during customer software development
•Hearing customer requirements, organizing technical requirements, and proposing implementation methods
•Participating in technical meetings with customers (in-person/online), providing technical explanations and coordination
•Ongoing technical support during customer product evaluation and mass production ramp-up phases

Modifying embedded software and providing technical fixes
•Modification and adjustment of software for the bridge-IC based on customer requirements
a.Device drivers, middleware, reference software
•Operation verification and debugging of functions related to USB, DisplayPort, image processing, and audio processing
•Bug reproduction testing and verification using evaluation boards and customer systems

Collaboration within and outside the company
•Feedback to internal development teams on technical issues and defects reported by customers
•Organizing workarounds, limitations, and recommended settings
•Creation and updating of technical documents, FAQs, and application notes for customers
•Technical customer support and proposal assistance in collaboration with the HW and Sales departments

Required Qualifications
1.Experience in embedded software development using C/C++
2.Experience using ARM-based SoCs or microcontrollers
3.Development and debugging experience in embedded Linux or RTOS environments
4.Practical experience in software bug analysis and root cause investigation
5.Ability to communicate technically with customers
6.Resides in Taiwan / able to work in Taiwan

Preferred Qualifications
1.Experience as a semiconductor FAE, application engineer, or technical support
2.Ability to provide technical support in Chinese (Traditional/Mandarin)
3.Experience dealing with ODM/OEM customers in China and Taiwan
4.Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as USB, DisplayPort, HDMI, MIPI, etc.
5.Knowledge and experience related to image processing (ISP, Video Codec) and audio processing
6.Experience in development or validation of AR/XR devices or similar products
